July 12, 2018 — Tapia 2018 is looking for volunteers. Student volunteers will attend a volunteer orientation and work multiple shifts totaling 8 hours over our 4 day conference. Volunteers help to deliver the best possible experience to attendees by supporting registration, managing sessions, and assisting attendees.
Student volunteers receive free registration and hotel for the conference and can participate in all conference activities including all sessions, the career fair, meals and the closing night banquet and dancing.
Interested in volunteering? Apply today. Applications will be accepted until August 10th. Volunteers will be notified on August 17th. Volunteers will need to be able to provide their own travel to the conference.
Themed “Diversity: Roots of Innovation,” the ACM Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference will be held September 19-22, 2018 in Orlando, Florida at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The Tapia Conference is the premier venue to bring together students, faculty, researchers and professionals from all backgrounds and ethnicities in computing to promote and celebrate diversity in computing.
The Tapia Conferences are sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and presented by the Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in Information Technology (CMD-IT). The conferences are offered in cooperation with the Computing Research Association (CRA).
