HOUSTON, Tex., May 27 – eXcellence in IS Solutions Inc. (X-ISS), a provider of High Performance Computing and Big Data solutions, will exhibit in June at two conferences sponsored by ANSYS Inc., the developer of advanced engineering simulation software. X-ISS has extensive experience building, deploying and managing HPC clusters for ANSYS software users.

X-ISS will share an exhibit table with Dell at the ANSYS Automotive Simulation World Congress in Detroit on June 2-3. The following week on June 9, X-ISS will exhibit at the ANSYS Convergence User Meeting in Houston with PCPC Direct, a developer of custom HPC clusters for oil & gas and financial organizations.

The Detroit event will focus primarily on automotive, off-highway and motorsport applications of the ANSYS simulation software. The annual Automotive Simulation Congress features presentations and demonstrations by leading engineering and technical organizations involved in developing vehicles and engines. 

For several years, X-ISS has worked closely with the engine design team at a major manufacturer of recreational vehicles. Under an ongoing ManagedHPC contract offered through Dell, X-ISS ensures the company’s HPC clusters smoothly run ANSYS and other vital software. X-ISS routinely helps this client with critical cluster node upgrades to handle increasingly complex engine simulations.

The ANSYS Convergence meeting in Houston will cover a variety of industries that utilize simulation software for computer-aided engineering and will have a heavy focus on oil & gas applications. In the oil patch, ANSYS software is relied upon to design and engineer a variety of equipment used in the production and processing of hydrocarbon resources.

With headquarters in Houston, X-ISS serves a variety of HPC clients in the oil & gas arena. Just recently, X-ISS worked with a local engineering firm to deploy a new HPC cluster and optimize it to run the ANSYS Fluent application 18 times faster than the software ran on workstations. This enabled the engineering firm to quickly redesign failed oil field pumps and rush their replacements back to the well site with minimal downtime in production.
