One of the key characteristics of new Summit Supercomputer is that it is built on an architecture designed to run AI workloads. This convergence of HPC and AI is being seen throughout scientific and enterprise environments alike. Traditional HPC environments are being adopted by enterprises to enable computation of large data sets with complex applications and deep learning frameworks.
Today, IBM is announcing an on-premises reference architecture for AI workloads, built on the same Summit infrastructure utilizing Spectrum Computing and IBM Storage, for improved AI performance, throughput, user productivity and unified data management that simplifies AI complexity and accelerates time to insights. Learn more about the IBM AI Infrastructure Reference Architecture here.
Join IBM at ISC 2018 (booth D-1140) to learn more about IBM POWER9-equipped Summit, the ‘world’s smartest supercomputer’ which is set to tackle the grand challenges of HPC and AI head on and the IBM technologies available today that make it possible. Discover how IBM Spectrum solutions for storage and workload orchestration can help to accelerate your HPC and AI workloads. During ISC, we will feature a number of demonstrations and theatre presentations representing the IBM portfolio, including a preview of the new Summit Supercomputer.
