Jan. 20 — You are cordially invited to contribute as an author or participant in “Supercomputing Frontiers 2016” in Singapore on March 15-18.
The conference will also host the inaugural event of grand opening of the new Singapore National Supercomputing Centre. During the event you will learn more about the new 1 Petaflop supercomputer and 10PB storage facilities with unprecedented fast I/O. This will mark Singapore’s entry to the Petascale league and the availability of new substantial supercomputing resources to all Singapore researchers, academics and students.
Supercomputing Frontiers 2016 is Singapore’s annual international conference that provides a platform for thought leaders from both academia and industry to interact and discuss visionary ideas, important global trends and substantial innovations in supercomputing.
This year’s themes and confirmed speakers include:
- efforts to build exascale supercomputers;
Horst Simon (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA)
Bronis de Supinski (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA)
- new non-standard processor architectures including neuromorphic processors and automata processors;
Srinivas Aluru (Georgia Institute of Technolgy)
Mircea Stan (University of Virginia)
Vern Brownell (President and Chief Executive Officer of D-Wave Systems)
Garrick Orchard (Temasek Laboratories and the Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology, Singapore)
Thomas Sohmers (Rex Computing)
- convolution of supercomputing, artificial intelligence and the biological brain;
Baroness Susan Greenfield (Oxford University, UK)
Roman Yampolski (University of Louisville)
- languages for exascale and for human-computer interactivity.
Barbara Chapman (Stony Brook University)
Kathy Yelick (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA)
Alan Edelman (MIT)
Wen Mei Hwu (U. Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
Andrew Sorenson (ANU, Australia)
- applications and other topics
Artur Binczewski (Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre, Poland)
John Feo (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and University of Washington USA)
Michael Krajecki (University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA), France)
Patricia Kovatch (Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital, USA)
Diego Rossinelli (ETH Zurich, Switzerland)
John Gustafson (A*CRC, Singapore)
Please consider the opportunity to contribute to the success of the conference by sharing your research, breakthroughs or visionary ideas with the international community.
The selected papers that will be published in the International Journal of Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations. (For the last year’s selected papers see – http://superfri.org/superfri/issue/view/7/showToc)
On March 14th the attendees are invited to visit Singapore’s research labs and data centres at the local universities and A*STAR while March 18th will be a workshop day offering attendees a variety of courses on topics relevant to high performance computing, programming, performance and novel architectures.
You are invited to submit a 4-page extended abstract by February 8, 2016.
