LATTICE SEMICONDUCTOR APPOINTS MARK HATFIELD TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

  Hillsboro, Ore. -- Lattice Semiconductor Corp, a supplier of programmable
logic devices ("PLDs"), announced the appointment of Mark O. Hatfield to the
company's board of directors, expanding the number of directors to six.
Senator Hatfield recently concluded a 46-year career as a public servant,
highlighted by his 30-year term in the U.S. Senate. As chairman of the Senate
Appropriations Committee, he presided over many complex issues in Congress.
He leaves office with a reputation as an independent, pragmatic and effective
legislator. Upon his retirement in January, Senator Hatfield returned to his
native Oregon to devote his attention and energy to education, medical
research and the private sector.

  Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Hatfield spent 16 years in Oregon
public office, serving as state representative, state senator, secretary of
state and governor.

INTERSOLV'S KEN HUGHES MOVES TO MICRONETICS

  Rockville, Md. -- Micronetics Design Corp announced that it has hired
software development expert Ken Hughes as vice president of engineering.
Most recently at Intersolv Inc, where he led development for the DataDirect
Product Series and Enterprise Client/Server Product Series, Hughes will
provide strategic development leadership for Micronetics' family of database
products. Prior to Intersolv, Hughes was vice president of technology and one
of the founders of Interport Software Corp, which merged with Intersolv in
1992.

  Micronetics' MSM product line is an integrated applications development and
database management environment that lets developers build scaleable,
high-transaction-volume applications. MSM technology includes tools for the
development of graphical and character-based user interfaces, as well as a
full complement of workstation and client/server networking tools.

  "The inherent open architecture of the Web provides a natural transition
for Micronetics, which has been developing open systems since the early
1980s. I'm excited about taking the Micronetics MSM database to the Web. I
know of no other database on the market more competitively priced that can
handle such a large number of queries accessing exceedingly complex data,"
says Hughes.

  MSM runs on a wide variety of hardware and software platforms, including
PCs running Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 3.x, and DOS and nearly 20 UNIX
implementations.

INFORMATION BUILDERS APPOINTS CLIVE PARMINTER AS VP

  San Diego, Calif. -- Information Builders has promoted Clive Parminter to
the position of vice president for UK, Australia and South Africa. Parminter
previously held the position of UK Country Manager for three years. The
appointment follows a strong period of growth within the UK business. Last
year, the company's software and services revenues grew by 40 percent in the
UK. As country manager for the UK, Clive Parminter was responsible for this
growth and for managing organizational restructuring in response to the
growing requirement for customers to work with suppliers who understand how
they can exploit technology for greater business advantage.

  Prior to his appointment as Information Builders UK County Manager,
Parminter had been general manager, Major Accounts Division, ORACLE UK, and
manager of the AIX Business Unit, IBM UK. Information Builders is a provider
of data access, enterprise reporting and information delivery solutions.

CROW JOINS MICRONETICS FROM SYBASE

  Rockville, Md. -- Micronetics Design Corp announced that Randall Crow has
moved from Sybase, Inc to take the reins of the company's sales division as
vice president. At Sybase, Crow conceived and implemented the initial
business plan for the company's State and Local Government and Higher
Education (SLG&HE) division, growing sales in the new division by 400 percent
in just over two years. He managed a team that was responsible for sales,
professional services, marketing and business development. He established
contracts with the State of California, New York, Texas, Oregon and North
Carolina. Crow was also instrumental in developing strategic alliances with
major consulting firms, such as Andersen Consulting, KPMG Peat Marwick, EDS,
Deloitte & Touche and IBM/ISSC.

  Crow was also the director of the Gain Business Unit at Sybase, responsible
for selling Sybase's multimedia products across the U.S. Prior to Sybase,
Crow held senior management positions at Mentor Graphics and Computervision
Corp.

OPEN MARKET NAMES SCHAUT VP & GENERAL MANAGER OF JAPAN OPS

  Cambridge, Mass. -- In a Dow Jones press release, Open Market Inc (OMKT)
said it named Paul Schaut vice president of strategic partnering and Kazuo
Kojima general manager of Japanese operations. According to the company's
press release, Schaut will be responsible for Open Market's partnerships in
the Internet industry. Kazuo will be responsible for expanding business
operations in Japan. Open Market develops, markets, licenses and supports
software products.

NETWORK PERIPHERALS APPOINTS OLIVER SZU AS CTO

  San Diego, Calif. -- Network Peripherals Inc, a provider of networking
solutions for workgroups, announced the appointment of Oliver Szu as chief
technology officer, reporting to NPI's president and CEO, Pauline Lo Alker.
Szu will lead NPI's future technology direction and networking architecture
development, while leading NPI in switching ASIC design. He will be
responsible for maintaining NPI's price/performance differentiation in the
development of Fast Ethernet and FDDI product sets, while expanding NPI's
development focus on ATM and Gigabit Ethernet technologies.

  Szu, formerly the president and founder of NuCom Systems, Inc, joined
Network Peripherals as a result of NPI's acquisition of NuCom in March, 1996.
As chief technology officer, Szu will be responsible for NPI's future network
switching direction and will work to achieve rapid time-to-market for NPI's
ASIC technologies, as well as focus on software support and network
management technology for future NPI products. Szu will also he responsible
for the development of strategic technology partnerships and industry
alliances, while managing NPI's participation in various networking standards
committees.

  As the president of NuCom, Szu was responsible for all revenue, operations
and development. Prior to founding NuCom, Szu was director of the
internetworking department at D-Link Systems, Inc. Szu has held numerous
engineering and research positions with U.S.-based high-technology companies

INTERLINK NAMES CHRISTOPHER A. MARKLE VP OF STRATEGIC MARKETING

  Fremont, Calif. -- Interlink Computer Sciences, Inc has named Christopher
A. Markle vice president of Strategic Marketing. Markle will be a member of
the executive management team. In his new position, Markle will be
responsible for defining Interlink's technology for TCP/IP products and
applications and will manage strategic alliances and partnerships for the
product, including Interlink's alliance with Cisco Systems, Inc.

  Markle joined the company in March, 1990, as the Manager of R&D and Support
for Interlink's mainframe TCP/IP products. He has worked in open systems
networking since 1984, and while at Advanced Computer Communications (ACC),
he led the team that developed commercial implementations of TCP/IP for IBM
MVS mainframes. Prior to assuming his present position he held positions as
director of marketing, Systems Products and chief technology officer for
Interlink.

  Before joining Interlink, Markle served in various engineering and support
capacities at ACC, Davis Group, Inc, Network Solutions, Amdahl and the
United States Air Force.

TOM FREDERICK JOINS ARTHUR ANDERSEN AS DIRECTOR OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

  Dallas, Texas -- Arthur Andersen, the multidisciplinary professional
services firm, announced the appointment of Tom Frederick as director of
advanced technology for the Business Consulting practice. Frederick joins
Arthur Andersen from Silicon Valley-based CP Software. As president,
Frederick played a lead role in global product development and sales
operations. Prior to joining the CP group, Frederick started and ran a number
of successful software companies focused around client/server and Internet
technologies.

  Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice provides a broad range of
services to help organizations improve their performance. As director,
Frederick will coordinate the global operations of Arthur Andersen's
Technology Innovation Centers, based out of Atlanta, London and Kuala
Lumpur. In addition, Frederick is charged with further advancing Arthur

INTERLINK NAMES MICKEY J. SATTERWHITE VP OF HUMAN RESOURCES

  Fremont, Calif. -- Interlink Computer Sciences, Inc has named Mickey J.
Satterwhite vice president of human resources. As a member of the executive
management team, Satterwhite will be responsible for Interlink's worldwide
human resources.

  Prior to joining Interlink, Satterwhite served as worldwide director of
human resources for Software Publishing Corp and served as a member of the
executive management team. Satterwhite has been affiliated with Oracle Corp,
where he was the manager of human resources and IBM Corp, where he served as
recruiting and employment manager.
