Durham, N.H. — Aprisma Management Technologies, a leader in service level intelligence software, announced that it has received U.S. Patent number 6,141,720, entitled “Method and Apparatus for Shared Objects in a Distributed System.” More than 40 U.S. patents pertaining to its SPECTRUM Suite have already been issued to Aprisma.
In a distributed system, a special protocol allows independent processes to share the information and processes provided by an object. This patent covers a method of coordination and control among a variety of processes in a distributed system.
